Ambitious Prince goes one better
After running second last year, AMBITIOUS PRINCE returned to Tuncurry, and took out this years edition of the Tuncurry-Forster Gold Cup.
Returning back to the country scene from the city worked wonders for AMBITIOUS PRINCE today.
What a performance it was from the Casino Prince gelding, sitting at the rear of the field for most of the race, before Ben Looker made his move at the 600m mark. He worked through his gears and at the top of the straight he let down powerfully on the outside to salute by just under 3 lengths.
Fourth in 2019, third in 2020, second in 2021… First in 2022!
